Dr. Larry Adnanson is the Director of IT of an international private/government K-12 school in Maryland, where he practices Information technology governance and information security hands-on daily.

Before being named as the IT Director, Larry was one of the two regional executive directors of a charter company that owned and operated six most successful charter schools in two districts in Maryland. He worked there with two major school districts’ central offices closely, crafted a research-based K-8 charter school proposal, headed IT and HR departments for two years, and played a key role in redefining the management role of central office in increasing academic achievement of the member schools.

Prior to joining the charter school management company, Larry worked for a government agency in Turkey as a project manager for three years. Along with several small projects, he managed a $10M Department of Education project that provided training to 15,000 vocational school teachers in the areas of Entrepreneurship, classroom management and leadership.

Before that, Larry worked in public and private schools in five different states as a middle and high school Mathematics teacher, international Math Olympiad coach, and high school principal, and network and system administrator for more than 15 years.

Larry earned a Bachelor of Science in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from Middle East Technical University, Masters of Science in Individualized Studies (Educational Leadership and Technology) from State University of New York Buffalo State College and Doctorate in Information Assurance from University of Fairfax.

Larry holds Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, and Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certificates.

Dr. Azad Ali has diverse educational and professional backgrounds. His education achievements consisted of completing a doctorate degree, two master’s degrees and a bachelor’s degree.  Dr. Ali’s doctorate degree is in information systems and communication (DISC) from Robert Morris University in 2003. His master’s degrees are in business administration (MPA) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and in public administration (MPA) from University of Pittsburgh. His bachelor’s degree is in business administration from the University of Background.

Dr. Ali’s professional experience includes teaching information technology (IT) and accounting courses at different colleges and universities for more than three decades. It also consisted of consulting for different companies like Mellon Bank, Alcoa, US Steel and others.

Dr. Ali is active in research and publications. He has published nearly a hundred papers in peer-reviewed journals throughout his career.

Dr. Sahar Bahmani is a scholar, researcher, professor, and Dean of Business Programs at the University of Fairfax. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2003), M.A. in Economics (2004) and PhD in Economics (2007).  She has been teaching in higher education since 2003, online students since 2004, and graduate-level students since 2008. She holds several certificates such as the Certificate in Effective College Instruction from The Association of College and University Educators and the American Council on Education and is a Canvas Certified Educator.   She has served as an Economist-Advanced for the State of Wisconsin.

Dr. Christensen has earned five degrees, first earning an associate’s degree in marketing and sales from Rasmussen College, obtaining two Bachelor of Sciences degrees: Cybersecurity from Rasmussen University and Business Management Information Systems from University of Phoenix, a Master’s degree in Networking and Communication from DeVry University, and finally a Doctorate degree in Information Technology – Cybersecurity from Capella University.

The majority of his career has been handling various technologies and holding various positions in both the private and public sector. Leading multiple teams over his 20-year career, he has been able to capitalize on his expertise and hands-on experience in executing security Governance, risk assessments, compliance, conducting security audits, assessing effectiveness of controls, ISMS, Data Privacy, Incident Response, Digital Forensics and Cyber Operation, and consulted for large enterprise security projects in various government / industry verticals serving many reputable organizations and companies nationally, regionally and internationally.

After obtaining his master’s degree, he began teaching students at Rasmussen University, National Public University, University of Fairfax, and American National University.

Dr. Jonathan Dalia first got into computers in the year 2000. The dot.com bubble was blowing up and the Internet was becoming a household word. He attended tech school to learn network engineering and data communications. After that he got his bachelor’s degree in telecommunications management. From there he obtained his master’s degree in IT administration and security from NJIT. He went on to obtain his doctorate in cyber security and information assurance.  Dr. Dalia has spoken at cyber security conferences, had research published and has helped maintain industry standard, DoD recognized certifications.

Dr. Samuel Edgeston has over a decade of experience in business leadership, organizational development, and academia. He held various leadership roles at universities in Arizona and Tennessee, contributing to program development, governance, and faculty leadership. Dr. Edgeston previously served in Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Coach-Counselor, a Board Certified Business Coach, and a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 mediator, bringing a multidisciplinary lens to complex organizational challenges. In addition to his teaching roles, Dr. Edgeston has served as an executive, corporate, leadership, and business coach and consultant in Arizona, partnering with organizations to strengthen leadership pipelines and organizational culture. His work includes supervising and training professionals and graduate students in mediation, practice management, governance, leadership development, continuity planning, succession planning, and entrepreneurial thinking, with an emphasis on practical application and real-world impact. Dr. Edgeston is a strong advocate for proactive development studies that emphasize business, management, executive leadership, followership, and executive presence, recognizing that effective leaders must both influence and be responsive to their stakeholders. His interests align with contemporary views of executive presence as the ability to project confidence, credibility, and gravitas in ways that inspire trust and motivate others to act. Currently, Dr. Edgeston is focused on advancing portfolio competence and engagement among current and future business professionals in organizational leadership, business consulting, and executive governance environments. His work is aimed at equipping leaders with the mindset and skills to navigate complex systems, cultivate high-impact followership, and demonstrate executive presence in both in-person and digital contexts.

Dr. Nilsa Elias holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology and master’s degrees in Applied Computer Science and Organizational Leadership. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, she has taught in classroom, hybrid, and online formats. In 2012, she was awarded the Excellence In Teaching Award by the National Society for Leadership and Success.  She is a published author and brings more than a decade of experience in the IT industry. Additionally, she is a Certified Course Reviewer with Quality Matters, a cybersecurity and IT course developer for multiple institutions, and a JMT Leadership Coach and Speaker. She is an active member of Women in Technology, Inc. and ISC, and volunteers with organizations such as Orange Duffle Bag and Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Dr. Ayodeji Falayi teaches in Cybersecurity at the University of Fairfax. He brings a uniquely multidisciplinary background spanning cybersecurity engineering, artificial intelligence, cloud architecture, healthcare IT systems, and applied research across multiple technical domains. His work integrates advanced information technology with real-world security challenges, enabling students to connect technical concepts with meaningful industry applications.

Dr. Falayi holds a PhD in Information Technology, where his research focused on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in healthcare, specifically AI-driven risk detection, behavioral analytics, and secure clinical data intelligence. He also earned a Master’s in Applied Information Technology (Software Engineering), a Master’s in Bioscience Engineering, and a Bachelor’s in Food Engineering, giving him rare cross-domain expertise that bridges computing, engineering, and system-level problem solving.

Professionally, Dr. Falayi has worked across cybersecurity, AI engineering, cloud solutions architecture, data engineering, software engineering, and healthcare technology innovation. His experience spans:

Dr. Falayi holds several professional certifications, including PMP, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and CPHIMSS, demonstrating his commitment to continuous professional excellence and global industry standards.

A passionate educator and mentor, Dr. Falayi is committed to supporting students as they build their research identities, strengthen their professional skills, and explore the rapidly evolving fields of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and cloud technology. His current interests include AI for cybersecurity defense, healthcare information security, cloud automation, secure digital twins, and intelligent risk management systems.

Sandra Fonseca is an IT, audit, project management, statistics, and accounting professor, program director, instructional content developer, and speaker. Her specializations are in information technology, risk management, IT audit, cybersecurity, statistics and data modeling, operations, and project management. Dr. Fonseca has over 30 years of experience in the IT cybersecurity, data governance, and project management field, both in state and federal government, 15 of them as CISO, as well as over 27 years in academia, where she has served as program designer and lead, as well as program director for MSIT and Cybersecurity programs.

Dr. Fonseca holds a Doctoral degree in Business, with a specialization in Management Information Systems (DBA-MIS) from Ana G. Méndez University. She is currently working on her dissertation towards a second doctoral degree in Education with a specialization on Instructional Design at Northcentral University (EdD-ID-ABD). Her master’s degree is on Information Systems from EDP University and a Bachelor’s degree on Business, Computer Information Systems from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.

She’s an advocate for professionalization and has collaborated and served as volunteer and board member at board of directors for local chapters in Puerto Rico for ISACA, ISSA, and PMI. In Washington DC, she’s a volunteer for the Washington DC chapter of ISACA, and PMI.
Reading sci-fi and fiction novels and playing the guitar are her decompression and meditation therapy. She’s a “Who·vian” – a fan of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, and a “Trekie”, fan of the Star Trek and Twilight Zone series.

Dr. John Giordani is a seasoned Technology Director and Risk Manager with 15+ years of progressive experience. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and holder of a Doctorate in Information Assurance (DIA). He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Fairfax, VA, and a recognized expert in developing security and privacy strategies and managing ongoing technology risk programs.

“Dr. G” is a member of the Cybersecurity Board of Advisors at Pace University’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems in New York, NY, and Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. He also serves as an EC Member of America’s Credit Unions (formerly NAFCU / CUNA).

John’s post-doctoral research focuses on Generative AI and Artificial Intelligence. He has published numerous research articles in leading science journals, contributing to the fields of information assurance, AI, and other emerging technologies. He earned a Master of Science in Information Systems Management (MIS) from the City College of New York (CUNY) and a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Italian Language and Culture from the University of Pisa, Italy. He also holds Graduate Certificates in Cybersecurity from Ithaca College and Harvard University.

A native of Italy, John is fluent in Italian and Romanian. He enjoys spending time with his family, racing formula cars, alpine skiing, reading, and writing.

As an accomplished IT professional, Dr. Goodwin has maintained effective functioning relationships and communication with federal and corporate clients in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the United States Air Force, and United States Army. Although Dr. Goodwin’s key experience lies in the fields of database technologies, information assurance, and instruction, he also has extensive experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, Organizational Leadership and Development, Data Science, Computer Science, and Qualitative and Quantitative Research.

Dr. Hills is a researcher, business professor, scholar, doctoral research mentor, and published author. She has 19 years of experience developing, implementing, and managing complex projects for organizations as a program manager and director of center operations. Dr. Hills holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Florida (2005), Master’s degree in Business Administration from ITT Technical Institute (2007), Doctorate degree in business administration (Social Impact Management) from Walden University (2015), and a Master’s degree in human resource management from Walden University (2023). Dr. Hills has worked in higher education since 2016.  She has taught and created undergraduate and graduate curriculum for business communication, leadership strategies, professional communication, organizational behavior, and human resource management. She is the owner/CEO of DH Research and Consulting, LLC a consulting firm that offers professional business services in the areas of 1) research-based consulting, 2) employee development, 3) trainings, and 4) seminars. Dr. Hills research interests include organizational behavior, motivational language, emotional intelligence, organizational communication, business sustainability, and business ethics. She performed as an academic contributor and one of three chief editors for the international book “Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives in Thought Leadership”.

Dr. M. Malook Rind has over 20 years of diversified experience in industry teaching, research, and academic leadership in the fields of cybersecurity, computer networks, and information systems. He holds a PhD in Information Technology and has been teaching undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses. His research focuses on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence applications in security, cloud computing, and Internet of Things. Dr. Rind has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications including books and international book chapters. He has also supervised numerous BS, MS, and PhD research projects and actively contributes to curriculum development and academic quality assurance.

Dr. Timothy M. McGee brings 25+ years of experience leading data science and cybersecurity initiatives across military and enterprise environments. Previously, he served as Sr. Manager of Data Operations Services & Enterprise Data Scientist at Serco, where he built an Azure-based enterprise data platform integrating multiple sources and led teams delivering AI/ML solutions at scale. He also guided Army enterprise data services as a Data Governance Branch Chief at the Pentagon and led defensive cyber operations as a U.S. Army Cyber Protection Team Lead. A former Assistant Professor at West Point, he taught artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and network engineering and has mentored 3,000+ learners across institutions. He holds a Doctor of Computer Science in Cybersecurity & Data Science and maintains certifications including CISSP and GIAC GCIH.

Dr. McIver’s passion for teaching can be traced back to his pre-professional days. Whether as a trainer, educator, or mentor at Western Governors University, he is dedicated to life-long learning. Dr. McIver holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Computer Information Systems and Technology Systems. He obtained his Doctorate Degree in Information Systems Management from Walden University. He is committed to providing his students with a loving and developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of learning. He looks forward to continuing to have a positive impact on students growth and to new academic discoveries. Outside of the office, gardening and reading are his passions. He resides in North Carolina with his lovely wife, Crystal.

Dr. Sonya Melton is an information technology data professional with an history of meeting organizational goals utilizing consistent and proven industry standard practices. Dr. Melton has worked in the information technology industry for over 25 years in both private and public sections, in a variety of roles, including Systems Engineer, IT Consultant, Sr. Infrastructure Specialist and Sr. Database Administrator / Architect.

Dr. Melton earned a B.S. in Finance and Banking at the University of Alabama, completed a Master of Information Systems Management (MISM} with a concentration in Data Administration and Management degree from The Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. And then went on to earn a PhD in Information Technology at University of the Cumberland. Dr. Melton is committed to being a life long learner, and is a dedicated instructor and mentor.

Dr. Franklin Orellana is an accomplished academic leader and researcher with extensive experience in data science, information technology, and business education. His professional background includes more than two decades of consulting in project management, organizational development, and analytics, supporting national and international firms across multiple industries. He has taught undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses for several institutions, served as a dissertation chair, and continues to mentor students and faculty in research, leadership, and applied data practices. Dr. Orellana’s scholarly work includes research in cybersecurity and data-driven decision making, along with deep expertise in Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and advanced analytics tools. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Project Management, multiple graduate degrees in business and information technology.

Dr. Swati Sharma is an accomplished academic, researcher, and entrepreneur with expertise spanning information technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and hospitality management. She teaches at American National University and the University of Fairfax, where she designs and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in networking, cybersecurity, database systems, AI-driven technologies, and IT governance. Her teaching emphasizes hands-on labs, case-based learning, and real-world applications, preparing students for both technical and leadership roles.

Dr. Sharma earned her doctorate with a dissertation titled “Examination of Cybersecurity Practices in Small Hotels: A Comprehensive Study of Awareness, Challenges, and Solutions.” Building on this foundation, she is now developing a high-impact research study titled Small Hotels, Big Consequences: How Cyberattacks Undermine Economic and Defense Systems, which explores how vulnerabilities in small hospitality organizations can scale into national-level risks that affect economic stability, supply chains, public safety, and defense resilience. Her broader research interests include cybersecurity awareness, AI-enabled risk mitigation, IT governance, and project management in healthcare and hospitality sectors.

Dr. Timothy Sorber, DCS, PMP ITIL v3, has been working with technology for over thirty years. A twenty-two-year veteran, he has operated, tested, and performed systems engineering for many new technology systems within the Navy and as a DoD support contractor. Holding a Doctor of Computer Science degree, he has researched the Optimization of Big Data Infrastructure for processing of SQL data. He has current knowledge for many DoD initiatives, including CVN21, the next-generation aircraft carrier, unmanned aerial vehicles, Knowledge Management, Cyberspace Command and Control, and Agile software development. He currently uses Enterprise Architecture based approaches to determine how to employ next-generation technologies within the joint military services. To support these studies, he has pioneered a means to develop system requirements that reflect the operational employment of the system capability, called Mission-based Analysis.

Dr. Sorber has been involved in technology all his life. He began by studying electricity and electronics in seventh grade to eventually become an Electronics Technician in the US Navy. Later, he received an NROTC scholarship to attend The Pennsylvania State University earning his Bachelor of Science degree in General Science before receiving a commission and becoming a Naval Flight Officer. While in the Navy, he earned a Master of Science Degree in Software Engineering. He has programmed in many languages over the years, including Fortran, Basic, Pascal, Cobol, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Visual Basic, and Assembly Language for several microprocessors.

Dr. Sorber has taught college-level students while in the US Navy on Anti-submarine weapons and tactics, at the junior college level on beginning networking, and to professional engineers on Cyber Security to include use of the Risk Management Framework within US Navy programs.

Dr. Stewart is a scholar, published author, researcher, professor, and Change Agent. An innovative problem solver, skilled in information technology policies, data privacy policies, resource management, requirements analysis, information assurance, information security, contracting approaches, IT portfolio advisor, emerging technologies, and Education with over thirty years of experience with the Department of Defense. Dr. Stewart developed a genuine passion for teaching and a desire to share what she has learned to create strong leaders.

Dr. Stewart served as an Executive Officer and Senior Team Leader, demonstrating leadership and success in building coalitions. She led large, technically complex, and geographically dispersed organizations. Served as senior advisor on Information Technology Acquisition Systems matters while advancing innovative, data-driven approaches across the community’s information technology acquisition enterprise. She also served as a Senior Lead for Electronic Records, Directives and as Privacy Program Officer.

Dr. Stewart serves on boards and committees while instructing specialized online courses in the associate, bachelor, master, and doctoral programs in the School of Business, Information Technology Department and speaks on emerging technologies. Her research specialty includes privacy policies, information technology, emerging technology, information assurance, and security.

Dr. Rajan Thapaliya is a distinguished academic leader, award-winning professor, and a leading voice in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Computer Science, known for his exceptional record of academic leadership and impact. Dr. Thapaliya served as Program Chair for the doctoral-level (DBA) program in Digital and Computer Science at Golden Gate University (GGU Worldwide). Recognized among the Top 20 Machine Learning Influencers in the United States by Influencer Hero, Dr. Thapaliya inspires students, researchers, and professionals worldwide. As a leader, Dr. Thapaliya plays a key role in advancing academic excellence, faculty development, curriculum innovation, accreditation-aligned program management, and student success across graduate and doctoral programs. He has served as a Subject Matter Expert in the Engineering and Technology Department at Prometric, a globally recognized assessment organization, and has held roles as a Director of Data Science, Senior Consultant, and senior-level manager and chair across diverse organizations.

Dr. Thapaliya is an experienced academic leader, educator, and researcher with expertise in artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. In addition to his academic leadership, Dr. Thapaliya brings valuable industry experience in information technology and applied computing, bridging real-world practice with innovative teaching and program development. Dr. White is an expert in Information assurance, which is the practice of protecting and managing information and information systems from various risks. He has over 15 years’ experience in research and development and management in this field, as well as in related areas of Information technology, Cybersecurity. He has worked in different industries such as technology, telecommunications, and Government. He holds a Doctorate in Information Assurance from the University of Fairfax, a Master of Science in Information Assurance from Wilmington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Maryland, University College.

Dr. Yousefi’s experience includes being a business entrepreneur with more than 15 years in Information Systems Technology as a Computer Network Engineer, Big Data, Databases, Business, Data Analytics, and IT Consultant and leadership, Management. Dr. Yousefi has more than 15 years’ experience in the educational field as a Dean of Business and Accounting and Director of Network Security and Business departments. Dr. Yousefi has obtained two Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Information Systems, a master’s degree in business/human resources, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration/Management Information systems.

Dr. Yousefi expert-led two review management courses for McGraw-Hill and Pearson Hall publications. He teaches Business, Management, Network & Technology, Security, HR, Data Analytics, Programming, Big Data, AWS, and database classes. He has managed many campuses as a Dean of Business and Director of the IT Networking/Security and Business Administration Department.

Dr. Yousefi has worked for companies such as Lockheed Martin as a software engineer, Chrysler Corporation as an IT manager, and Andrules LLC. As a Hardware/software configuration engineer.
